Kruger National Park, het Meest iconische safari park van Zuid-Afrika!
Het Park is gelegen in het noordoosten van Zuid-Afrika, is een van de beroemdste wildparken ter wereld. Met een oppervlakte van ruim 19.000 Km² is het een van de grootste en oudste natuurreservaten van Afrika. Dit park biedt een van de beste safari-ervaringen, met een ongekende diversiteit aan dieren en landschappen. Kruger is beroemd om de Big Five – leeuw, olifant, buffel, luipaard en neushoorn – maar het park herbergt ook meer dan 140 zoogdiersoorten en 500 vogelsoorten. Van giraffen en zebra’s tot cheeta’s en wilde honden, de kans om indrukwekkend wildlife te spotten is hier enorm groot. De vegetatie varieert van grasvlaktes tot dichte bossen en rivieren, wat zorgt voor diverse ecosystemen.
Kruger National Park staat bekend om zijn gemakkelijke toegankelijkheid en goed ontwikkelde infrastructuur. Het is een van de weinige parken waar je zelf met een auto op safari kunt gaan. Dankzij de beschermingsinspanningen is het een van de best bewaarde natuurgebieden van Afrika.

De KwaZulu-Natal Drakensbergen
De KwaZulu-Natal Drakensbergen, adembenemende bergen op de grens met Lesotho!
De Drakensberg is gelegen in het oosten van Zuid-Afrika en grenzend aan Lesotho, vormen een van de meest spectaculaire bergketens van het Afrikaanse continent. Dit UNESCO-werelderfgoed is beroemd om zijn dramatische pieken, diepe valleien en eeuwenoude rotstekeningen van de San-bevolking. Deze regio staat bekend om zijn ruige schoonheid en gevarieerde landschappen, variërend van groene heuvels tot steile rotsformaties. De hoogste piek, Thabana Ntlenyana met 3.482 meter, ligt net over de grens in Lesotho en is de hoogste berg van zuidelijk Afrika. Daarnaast herbergen de Drakensbergen een rijke biodiversiteit met zeldzame vogels en antilopen.
Langs de rand van de Drakensbergen liggen charmante dorpjes zoals Underberg en Himeville, die toegang bieden tot het Sani Pass, een avontuurlijke bergpas die naar Lesotho leidt. De Drakensberg bieden talloze avonturen, van hiken en paardrijden tot Rotsklimmen en vogels spotten. Bezoekers aan De KwaZulu-Natal Drakensbergen kunnen de beroemde Amphitheater-kliffen bewonderen en de indrukwekkende Tugela Falls, de op één na hoogste waterval ter wereld.
