Andrew Barlow, Cheshire born and bred via Manchester growing up within a farming family the outdoor lifestyle has been distilled within him from a very young age. Now Andrew prides himself as a freelance story teller, within the outdoor industry and running an all inclusive cycle collective known as outsiders.

Andrew has always been passionate about the outdoors. Andrew first experienced the outdoors in a hikers fashion and amalgamating it with landscape photography. often using this to escape his corporate printing job in Manchester by leaving the golden triangle of national parks, The Peak District, The Lake District and Snowdnia.

Andrew relocated to Cumbria in 2018 after quitting the rat race to slow down and enjoy his photography. Andrew then rekindled his love for cycling by using the bike as a tool to explore rather than commute to work within the city.

Andrew then started exploring the lanes, bridleways and cycle routes of Cumbria leading on to write this very book. Combining curiosity and courtesy to share these very rides for everyone to enjoy as much as he does.
