C'est un état en plein boom qui a connu en moins de 30 ans une avancée économique de plusieurs siècles. Un développement contrôlé depuis trois décennies par un sultan qui a su mettre a profit les richesses offertes par l'or noir et donné les clés de l'unification : un nom et un drapeau. Le pays a su garder toute son authenticité, rythmée par la cadence journalière des prières. Une religion omniprésente mais tolérante, l'ibadisme une branche du chiisme pour le pays le plus stable, ouvert et sûr de la région.
